Salary: £210 per day
Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday in the office, Friday working from home
Hours: 8:30am–5:30pm

Our client is a growing multi-disciplinary construction consultancy delivering surveying, asset management and compliance services to housing associations, local authorities and public sector organisations across the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to lead and support a small team of surveyors delivering Stock Condition Surveys and asset data collection programmes across a diverse residential portfolio.

The Role

This is a hands-on position combining team leadership with survey delivery. You'll be responsible for overseeing survey programmes, ensuring data quality, supporting and mentoring surveyors, and undertaking stock condition surveys yourself when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supporting a team of Stock Condition Surveyors.

  • Undertaking stock condition surveys across residential housing stock.

  • Collecting and validating asset, component and condition data.

  • Ensuring survey data is accurate, consistent and delivered to client requirements.

  • Carrying out quality assurance checks and audits of completed surveys.

  • Supporting project planning and survey programme delivery.

  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.

  • Producing reports and providing recommendations based on survey findings.

  • Contributing to asset management and investment planning projects.

  • Assisting with the training and development of junior surveyors.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience undertaking Stock Condition Surveys within the housing sector.

  • Experience managing or mentoring surveyors.

  • Strong understanding of housing asset management principles.

  • Knowledge of building components, lifecycle costing and planned maintenance.

  • Experience using handheld surveying devices and asset management software.

  • Excellent attention to detail and data quality standards.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with housing associations or local authorities.

  • Knowledge of HHSRS, Decent Homes Standards and housing compliance requirements.

  • Experience managing large-scale stock condition survey programmes.

  • Familiarity with asset management systems such as Keystone, Asprey, MRI, Civica or similar platforms.
