We're looking for an ambitious Senior Tax Associate who wants to work with a varied portfolio of clients, develop their advisory skills and play an important role within a growing and highly regarded tax team.
This is a role where you'll have real responsibility from day one. You'll manage your own portfolio, work closely with experienced tax professionals, mentor junior colleagues and gain exposure to a wide variety of personal tax matters. The Role
As a Senior Tax Associate, you'll take ownership of your own client portfolio, ensuring outstanding service while delivering high-quality compliance and advisory work.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.
• Building trusted relationships with clients, providing proactive advice and clear communication throughout the tax cycle.
• Preparing complex Self-Assessment tax returns and reviewing financial information with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Identifying planning opportunities and assisting with tax advisory projects.
• Liaising with internal departments, including Accounts and Payroll, to provide a seamless client experience.
• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members while providing coaching and guidance.
• Managing your workload effectively, balancing multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Keeping up to date with UK tax legislation and contributing to the team's technical knowledge.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering an exceptional client experience.
Ideally, you'll have:
• At least two years' experience in a personal tax position.
• Experience working with Owner Managed Businesses
• ATT qualified and CTA qualified, or currently studying towards CTA.
• Strong technical knowledge and a genuine passion for taxation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and practical way.
• A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• The confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• A positive attitude, ambition and the desire to continue developing your career.
