We are recruiting confidentially for an established and growing Managed Service Provider seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager / Virtual CIO.
This is a senior, highly client-facing role for someone who can combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness, strategic thinking and excellent relationship management.
You will become a trusted technology advisor to a portfolio of key clients, working closely with their leadership teams to understand their business plans, challenges and priorities.
From there, you will help create clear technology roadmaps, annual budgets and investment plans covering areas such as cloud, cyber security, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, AI and automation.
This is not simply an account management role and it is not a hands-on support position.
The company is looking for someone who can lead credible boardroom-level conversations, challenge thinking where necessary and translate complex technical recommendations into clear business language.
You will take ownership of strategic client reviews, technology planning and longer-term improvement roadmaps. You will also identify risks, future project requirements and genuine opportunities where technology can help clients improve efficiency, resilience or growth.
A further part of the role will involve supporting and developing colleagues involved in client strategy and technology alignment, helping to ensure every client receives a consistently high standard of service.
To be considered, you will need strong experience within an MSP, technology consultancy or outsourced IT environment.
You should already have experience managing senior client relationships and leading conversations around technology strategy, roadmaps, budgets or long-term improvement plans.
You will also need broad technical knowledge across Microsoft technologies, cloud, cyber security, infrastructure and modern workplace solutions.
The successful person will be commercially aware, confident presenting to senior stakeholders and able to build genuine, long-term relationships with clients.
You may currently be working as a Virtual CIO, Senior Technical Account Manager, Technology Consultant, Client Technology Lead, IT Strategy Consultant or senior Service Delivery professional.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel regularly to client sites will be required.
