Senior Town Planner | Permanent | Hybrid (2 days in the office)
I'm currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Senior Town Planner to join an established and growing planning consultancy on a permanent basis.

As a Senior Town Planner, you'll work across a diverse range of planning projects, providing strategic and practical planning advice to clients and managing projects through the planning process.
 
You'll have the opportunity to:
·Manage planning applications from initial instruction through to determination.
·Prepare planning statements, reports and supporting documentation.
·Provide planning advice, development appraisals and site assessments.
·Undertake planning policy research and assess development opportunities.
·Liaise with Local Planning Authorities, clients and external consultants.
·Attend pre-application meetings, site visits and planning committees.
·Negotiate with planning officers to help secure positive outcomes.
·Manage your own workload and take ownership of projects.
·Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
 
We're looking for a Senior Town Planner with a minimum of 3 years' relevant planning experience who is ready to take on responsibility and continue developing their career within a consultancy environment.
You'll ideally have:
·A degree in Town Planning or a related RTPI accredited discipline.
·3+ years' relevant planning experience.
·Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy.
·Experience managing planning applications and providing planning advice.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·The confidence to manage projects and communicate with a range of stakeholders.
·RTPI membership or a willingness to work towards chartership would be advantageous.
