Advance TRS are working with a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy that is experiencing continued growth due to an increase in workload and a strong project pipeline.
As a result, they are looking to appoint a Senior Transport Planner to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Planning professional looking to further develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will become part of a highly skilled team, delivering a diverse range of projects while having the opportunity to enhance both technical and commercial capabilities through close collaboration with senior leadership.
The Role
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be involved in a variety of transport planning projects, supporting developments from initial feasibility through to planning and delivery stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing site appraisals, feasibility studies, and pre-application advice.
- Producing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans.
- Undertaking traffic modelling and junction capacity assessments.
- Liaising with clients, project teams, and local authorities.
- Attending meetings with clients, local authority representatives, and project stakeholders.
- Supporting the continued growth and reputation of the business through the delivery of high-quality work.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
- Previous consultancy experience within Transport Planning.
- Experience preparing Transport Assessments and Transport Statements.
- Proficiency with industry-standard traffic and junction modelling software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Chartered status, or working towards Chartership.
- Experience in highway design and Road Safety Audits.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
