We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Upholstery Manager to join a thriving manufacturing business in the Barnstaple area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an upholstery manager, supervisor or senior upholsterer ready to advance their career by leading and developing a high-performing upholstery production team.

As Senior Upholstery Manager, you will oversee daily upholstery operations, ensuring production targets are met while upholding exceptional standards of quality, efficiency and craftsmanship.

You will be instrumental in supporting and managing the upholstery team, organising workloads, and ensuring all tasks are completed to the required standards within set deadlines.

• Lead and support the upholstery production team to achieve operational excellence.
• Plan and organise daily workloads effectively.
• Ensure production targets and deadlines are consistently met.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the production process.
• Provide guidance, support and training to team members to foster development.
• Monitor production efficiency and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure materials, tools and equipment are used efficiently and safely.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean and well-organised workplace.
• Support the growth and development of the upholstery department.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless production flow.

• Proven upholstery experience is essential.
• Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials and production processes.
• Excellent leadership and team-management skills.
• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet production deadlines.
