Our client, a reputable family-run independent garage in St Albans, Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join their well-established team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to progress within a stable, professional environment with competitive pay and potential bonus earnings.

Duties of the Senior Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct diagnostics, including complex fault finding and repairs
  • Perform timing belt replacements, clutch repairs, servicing, and general vehicle maintenance
  • Assist with MOT testing where necessary
  • Manage vehicle repairs efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • Support workshop productivity and health & safety standards
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the workshop
Requirements of the Senior Vehicle Technician:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills
  • Ability to undertake complex repairs confidently on multiple vehicle types
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to quality standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including every other Saturday
  • Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Experience working on diverse vehicle makes and models preferred
