We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable independent automotive workshop in West Bromwich, seeking a skilled Senior Vehicle Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to work within a busy, well-equipped facility, handling complex mechanical repairs across a variety of makes and models.

  • Competitive basic salary between £40,000 and £50,000, depending on experience

  • Stable working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with alternating Saturday mornings

Duties:
  • Carrying out timing chain replacements, clutch replacements, and turbo repairs
  • Undertaking engine rebuilds and major mechanical repairs
  • Servicing and maintaining various vehicle systems
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Performing gearbox, drivetrain, suspension, and brake repairs
  • General vehicle servicing and strip-down repairs
  • Working on a broad range of vehicle makes and models, ensuring high standards of work

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician, with a focus on mechanical repairs
  • Proven competency with timing chains, clutches, engine work, turbos, and gearboxes
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical faults efficiently
  • Prior experience working in a busy workshop environment
  • Electrical and diagnostic skills are advantageous but not essential
  • A passion for quality workmanship and attention to detail
