We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Senior Vehicle Technician, a role designed for an experienced technician with a strong engine repair background. This Senior Vehicle Technician opportunity offers a competitive salary package and the flexibility to choose between working a Saturday rota or regular Monday to Friday hours.

Duties of a Senior Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct head gasket repairs, engine strip-downs, and rebuilds
  • Perform timing chain and belt replacements
  • Carry out complex mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis
  • Address cooling system faults and overheating issues
  • Undertake cylinder head work and other major engine repairs
  • Execute clutch and drivetrain repairs
  • Diagnose faults accurately and efficiently
  • Carry out general mechanical repairs and quality checks on own work
  • Work collaboratively within a skilled technical team in a busy workshop environment
Requirements of a Senior Vehicle Technician:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Senior Technician with a focus on engines 
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly regarding engine repairs
  • Experience with head gasket replacements and engine rebuilds
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical faults accurately
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle systems
  • Attention to detail and independent working capability
  • Relevant automotive qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, IMI, or equivalent are desirable but not essential
  • Professional attitude and dedication to quality workmanship
