Care & Support Worker – Children & Adults – Complex Needs
Location: Stourbridge
Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Shifts: Long Days & Waking Nights
Working Pattern: 7 days a week
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming residential care service supporting children and adults with complex needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in healthcare, social care, support work, education, childcare or another relevant caring environment who is looking for a rewarding role where they can make a real difference.
The service provides a warm and supportive environment, with a strong focus on person-centred care, independence and wellbeing. The children also have access to a lovely on-site farm, providing opportunities to spend time outdoors, enjoy activities and interact with animals.
The Role
You will be supporting children and adults with complex needs, including 1:1 support where required.
The role involves providing person-centred care and support, assisting with daily routines and personal care where required, supporting emotional wellbeing, encouraging independence and helping individuals take part in activities and outings.
You will also have the opportunity to support children with activities on the farm and in the local community. Building positive relationships with the people you support is an important part of the role, alongside working with colleagues and following individual care plans.
About You
You do not necessarily need to have previously worked under the job title of Support Worker. We are happy to consider candidates with experience in healthcare, social care, support work, education, childcare, learning disabilities, mental health, complex care or other relevant caring environments.
You must hold a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification or be currently working towards a Level 3 qualification.
Previous experience supporting children or adults with complex needs, or experience providing 1:1 support, would be highly desirable.
We are looking for caring, patient and reliable individuals who are confident supporting people with complex needs. You should have good communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support.
Driving Requirement
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as the location has limited or no public transport access and can be difficult to reach without a car.
Shifts Available
The service operates 7 days a week, with long day shifts and waking night shifts available. Weekday and weekend shifts are available, along with full-time, part-time and flexible working opportunities depending on your availability and the needs of the service.
If you have a background in care, healthcare, support work, education or working with children and are looking for a rewarding opportunity supporting people with complex needs, we would love to hear from you.
