Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Croydon area who are seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher looking to begin their teaching career within a nurturing school environment that prioritises professional development, staff well-being, and high-quality teaching and learning. The school can offer flexibility regarding year group placement, with opportunities available across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 depending on the successful candidate's strengths and preferences.

The Role – Early Career TeacherAs an ECT, you will work alongside experienced colleagues and receive support to develop your confidence and classroom practice. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Creating a positive and nurturing learning environment where all pupils feel supported and challenged
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
- Promoting high standards of behaviour, achievement, and personal development
- Contributing positively to the wider life of the school and working collaboratively with staff teams
- Engaging fully with your ECT induction programme and ongoing professional development opportunities
- Hold, or are on track to achieve, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Are completing their teacher training and seeking their first teaching position
- Have recent placement experience within UK primary schools
- Are confident teaching or willing to develop within EYFS, KS1, or KS2
- Are passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Bring enthusiasm, resilience, and a positive attitude to school life
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
