Service Advisor – Westbury

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple locations nationwide, is seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor for their busy Westbury dealership.

Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Greet customers and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the service process
  • Manage workshop loading, ensuring it remains current and optimised
  • Keep customers informed proactively about vehicle repair progress
  • Book vehicles in at convenient times, coordinating appointment schedules with workshop capacity
  • Identify customer requirements and provide accurate, comprehensive quotations
  • Produce detailed job cards, estimates, and invoices, ensuring data accuracy
  • Explain maintenance work and repairs clearly to customers, maximising sales opportunities
  • Generate warranty job cards in accordance with manufacturer policies
  • Record all work requirements comprehensively, including retail, warranty, internal, and non-chargeable repairs
  • Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure availability of necessary parts
  • Work collaboratively with the Service Manager and team to uphold high service standards
  • Liaise with vehicle manufacturers for warranty authorisations and procedures, ideally involving commercial vehicles
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor similar role within the automotive industry
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and IT literacy (experience with Kerridge/Keyloop preferable)
  • A valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
  • Knowledge of warranty procedures and familiarity with commercial vehicles is advantageous, but not essential
  • Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
