We are currently recruiting for a Service Advisor on behalf of our client, the largest car dealer group in South Wales. This is a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership located in Cardiff, offering an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals.

  • Starting salary approximately £27,300 per annum, depending on experience and brand accreditation.
  • Uncapped bonus potential with an OTE of £33,000 to £34,000 annually.

Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Greet customers and book their vehicles in for service work.
  • Liaise extensively with the workshop to monitor work in progress.
  • Up-sell additional products and services where appropriate.
  • Keep customers informed on the progress of their vehicle repairs.
  • Take payments for completed work and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional advice and service.
  • Achieve departmental targets and contribute to the team’s success.
  • Assist in warranty authorisation processes, liaising with manufacturers (non-essential but advantageous).
  • Effectively manage appointment diary and administration related to service bookings.
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or similar within the motor trade industry.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to relate technical information clearly and confidently.
  • Strong organisational skills and IT proficiency (experience with Kerridge/Drive/RTC systems advantageous but not essential).
  • A full UK driving licence with minimal points.
  • Passion for the automotive industry and a drive to deliver excellent customer experiences.
