We are currently recruiting for the position of Vehicle Service Advisor on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally in the service department
  • Book customer vehicles in for repairs and maintenance as a Service Advisor
  • Liaise actively with the workshop to monitor progress on repairs
  • Advise customers on minor technical issues and additional products/services
  • Upsell where appropriate to enhance revenue
  • Keep customers informed regarding vehicle progress
  • Take payments and process documentation accurately
  • Support warranty authorisations and liaise with manufacturers as required
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and service standards
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet departmental targets and objectives
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
  • Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the motor industry
  • Confident relationship-building and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and IT proficiency; experience with Kerridge/Drive DMS is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures is desirable but not mandatory
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Passion for automotive retail and customer service excellence
This role offers a structured working week from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday morning shift. Our client provides comprehensive training, career advancement opportunities, and a supportive team environment.
