Our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership based in Bristol, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Service Advisor to join their busy Service Department.   • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch break; 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am-12:30pm
Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Greet customers in the Service Department and book vehicles in for repairs and routine servicing
  • Liaise extensively with workshop team to chase work in progress and ensure timely delivery
  • Advise customers on minor technical issues and recommend additional products or services
  • Upsell service plans and additional repair work where appropriate as a Service Advisor
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding vehicle progress and costs
  • Take payments and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to promote loyalty and repeat business
  • Assist in achieving departmental targets and company objectives
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
  • At least two years' experience working as a Service Advisor or similar within the motor trade
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service through excellent communication skills
  • Organisational skills and IT proficiency; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop DMS is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures and liaising with manufacturers to authorise warranty repairs is beneficial but non-essential
  • Passion for working within the automotive industry and maintaining high standards of professionalism
  • Ability to influence, advise, and build rapport with customers and colleagues
