We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a franchise-approved car dealership in Yate, South Gloucestershire, for the position of Vehicle Service Advisor. This is an excellent Service Advisor opportunity for a skilled professional to join a busy and forward-thinking Service Department offering a competitive salary, bonus scheme, and career development opportunities.

  • Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm
Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Greet customers professionally in the Service Department and book vehicles in for repairs
  • Liaise extensively with the workshop to track work progress
  • Advise and upsell on additional products and services where appropriate
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding their vehicle’s status
  • Take payments for completed work and process associated administrative tasks
  • Support the Aftersales Team in achieving departmental targets and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term relationships with customers, ensuring a first-class service experience
  • Assist with warranty authorisation procedures and liaise with manufacturers as required
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or similar role within the motor trade is preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills essential
  • Passion for automotive industry and manufacturer products
  • Organisational skills coupled with IT proficiency; experience with Kerridge DMS is advantageous but not essential
  • A UK driving licence with minimal points is mandatory
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and achieve sales and service targets
