We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Advisor position at an independent garage in Ashford, Kent. This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled and experienced Service Advisor to join a reputable, family-run business known for delivering quality automotive services and fostering long-term customer relationships.

Key benefits of the Service Advisor:
  • Basic salary up to £34,000, dependent on experience
  • On Target Earnings (OTE) of £36,000+
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 18:00, with a one-hour lunch break
  • One Saturday per month, 8:00 – 13:00, paid at overtime rates
  • No Sunday or bank holiday working

Duties of the Service Advisor:
  • Greet customers and manage vehicle drop-offs and collections efficiently
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service requests
  • Keep customers updated on vehicle progress throughout their service
  • Identify additional services and upsell suitable products or warranties
  • Prepare accurate invoices and explain the work carried out clearly
  • Support the workshop team with relevant information and scheduling
  • Promote service plans, warranties, and other add-on sales
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and satisfaction
Requirements of the Service Advisor:
  • Proven experience in a Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive trade
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Organised and able to manage multiple customer bookings effectively
  • Confident in upselling and explaining technical work in a clear manner
  • IT literate, with experience in automotive management systems advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence, preferably clean
  • Knowledge or experience in car sales or parts advisory roles is desirable
