We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Advisor position based in Arnold, Nottingham. This is a key role within a well-established independent automotive business that has earned a strong reputation for delivering high-quality customer service and vehicle maintenance solutions. The successful Service Advisor will play a vital part in providing exceptional customer experiences, managing vehicle bookings, and supporting the workshop team.

Benefits:
  • Up to £30,000 basic salary, dependent on experience

Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Welcoming customers and understanding their vehicle service and repair needs
  • Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing customer appointments
  • Providing regular updates to customers regarding repair progress
  • Liaising with technicians and workshop staff to ensure smooth workflow
  • Preparing estimates and obtaining customer authorisation for additional work
  • Explaining repairs and servicing options clearly and professionally
  • Handling customer queries in a professional manner and resolving any issues promptly
  • Ensuring all relevant documentation and customer records are accurately completed
  • Identifying and suggesting additional services or repairs where appropriate
  • Delivering a consistently high level of customer service throughout the customer journey
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing automotive role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident in dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone 
  • Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy workshop environment
  • Positive, professional attitude with good attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of vehicle servicing and repair processes
  • Excellent administration skills to maintain accurate records
