We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable multi-franchise approved dealership located in Bristol, seeking a highly motivated vehicle service advisor to join their busy service department. The vehicle service advisor position offers an excellent opportunity to develop a long-term career within a successful and expanding organisation.

Benefits:
  • Starting salary from £29,741 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Additional annual bonus potential exceeding £6,000, with some service advisors earning over £12,000
  • Overtime paid at time-and-a-half

Duties:
  • Welcome customers and book vehicles into the service department for repairs and routine servicing
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle progress and required work
  • Liaise with the workshop team to chase work in progress and ensure timely completion
  • Upsell additional products and services where appropriate as the Service Advisor
  • Take payments for completed work 
  • Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Advise customers on minor technical issues and explain repair processes clearly
  • Possible involvement with warranty authorisation and liaising with vehicle manufacturers (advantageous but not essential)
Requirements:
  • Recent or current experience as a service advisor or similar role within the automotive retail industry is highly advantageous
  • Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and IT literacy (experience with Pinewood Pinnacle is desirable)
  • Basic mechanical understanding of vehicles
  • Ability to influence and up-sell to customers
  • Confident relationship builder with attention to detail
