We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity on behalf of our client, a reputable multi-franchise approved car dealership in Bristol, seeking a Vehicle Service Advisor. This Service Advisor role is ideal for experienced individuals with a strong customer service background and an understanding of automotive processes.

Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Greeting customers in the Service Department and booking vehicles in for repair work
  • Liaising with the workshop team to manage work in progress and ensure timely completion
  • Advising customers on minor technical issues and up-selling additional products and services
  • Keeping customers informed of their vehicle’s progress throughout the service process
  • Processing payments accurately for work completed
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to achieve customer satisfaction and support dealership objectives
  • Supporting warranty procedures and liaising with vehicle manufacturers where necessary
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry is highly advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • IT literacy, with advantageous experience using Pinewood Pinnacle or similar software
  • Mechanical understanding of vehicles and basic technical knowledge
  • Ability to influence and advise customers confidently
  • Knowledge of warranty procedures is beneficial but not essential
The successful Service Advisor will demonstrate excellent communication skills, high levels of organisation, and a customer-focused approach. The role offers a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, with Saturday mornings on a rota, paid as overtime.
