An established UK lift engineering business is looking to recruit an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join its Midlands service team.
This is a field-based position covering a portfolio of lifts across the Midlands and surrounding areas, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault-finding and repairs across a variety of lift equipment.
The successful engineer will be responsible for managing their allocated service route, maintaining strong relationships with customers and ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant.
Key Responsibilities-
Carry out planned preventative maintenance across an allocated lift portfolio

Service and maintain a variety of lift equipment from different manufacturers

Attend breakdowns and callouts across the designated territory

Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults efficiently

Carry out minor repairs and reactive works where required

Work to minimise equipment downtime and maintain lift reliability

Identify additional repairs or remedial works where required

Complete relevant service documentation and reports accurately

Communicate professionally with customers while attending sites

Work closely with the wider regional service and technical teams

Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance at all times

Participate in callout requirements where applicable

Previous experience working as a Lift Service / Maintenance Engineer

Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance on lift equipment

Strong fault-finding, breakdown and repair experience

NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent – preferred

Good electrical and mechanical knowledge

Experience working across a range of lift manufacturers and equipment would be advantageous

Strong understanding of workplace health & safety

Able to work independently and effectively manage an allocated service route

Customer-focused with good communication skills

Reliable, professional and comfortable working as part of a wider service team

Full UK driving licence
