Service Engineer (International Travel)
Location: Dungannon, County Tyrone, N.Ireland
Salary: £40k basic - £60k-£70k OTE
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and commission ground support equipment.
- Maintain and service product range.
- Fix any problems that are within warranty.
- Report any warranty issues back to office.
- Provide supervisory and technical support to colleagues and communicate with staff at all levels.
- Ensure that guidelines and standards of work expected are understood and met.
- Ensure that follow-up work requirements are referred back to the appropriate staff to enable necessary action and recommendations to clients.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times, consistent with client and company expectations, and in doing so help to promote the image of the company.
- Set a good example to colleagues by observing and obeying all company rules and regulations, complying with all site regulations and safeguarding company property.
- Complete all necessary documentation promptly and in accordance with guidelines or schedules issued (including time sheets, staff expense claims and site reports.).
- Attend all training courses and meetings as required.
- Provide support to management and colleagues.
- Observe and adhere to company health & safety guidelines contributing to a healthy and safe working environment.
- Adherence to ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and tidy works area.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven technical competence and experience with equipment maintenance.
- The ability to read and interpret technical documents such as engineering documents, operation and maintenance instructions.
- Previous experience of working within a service organisation.
- Relevant industry experience and ability to learn new systems.
- Has proven literacy and numeracy skills.
- Qualified in an engineering or IT discipline, or hands on engineering experience in electro-mechanical engineering.
- Able to communicate problems/issues with all team members.
- Ability to work on your own or as part of their team.
- Ability to adjust to change.
- Ability to fault find, trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve issues.
- Comply with quality regulations & standards.
- Clean current driving licence.
- Available to work flexible hours when require.
