My client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Service Engineer to join their team. They are a leading supplier and manufacturer of incinerators across the UK and internationally. The role requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Their ideal candidate will have previous electrical and mechanical field service experience, electrical qualification, ideally gas qualified and be happy to travel UK and abroad.
Service Engineer role:
• Install, service, commission, and maintain incinerators in the UK and overseas.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure servicing requirements are met.
• Monitor, record, and report machinery performance and preventative maintenance activities.
• Conduct equipment health checks and identify potential issues.
• Deliver demonstrations and training to customers to ensure safe and effective equipment operation.
• Provide recommendations for product improvements and new solutions.
• Manage van stock and inventory, reporting usage and replenishment requirements.
• Deliver excellent customer support while representing the business professionally at all times.
• Report ongoing technical or quality concerns to the Quality Operative and QHSE Manager.
• Promote good housekeeping and safe working practices throughout the business.
• Complete and submit accurate service reports and associated paperwork promptly.
• Work towards and achieve KPIs set by management.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Service Engineer requirement:
• Educated to a relevant electrical qualification BTEC, NVQ, ONC, HNC or equivalent,
• Educated to a relevant Gas qualification.
• Computer literate with the ability to complete service documentation accurately.
• Competent in the safe and correct use of tools and equipment.
• Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Flexible approach to work, including overtime and travel requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.
Service Engineer package:
Base salary £33.2k (OTE £43k)
Overtime and international and UK working away all paid at enhanced rates.
Company vehicle and tools provided.
