The Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineer to support production operations through maintenance, continuous improvement and project-based engineering activities. You will work closely with production teams, mentor junior engineers and play an active role in improving equipment performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair machinery faults efficiently and effectively.
• Drive improvements in machine performance, reliability and OEE.
• Lead and support engineering projects from concept through to implementation.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and root cause investigations.
• Maintain engineering documentation and support ISO-compliant processes.
• Manage engineering stores and control equipment expenditure.
• Mentor junior team members and support operator development.
• Promote continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and 5S activities.

Requirements

Essential

• HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• GCSE Maths and English.
• Previous experience in a similar engineering role.
• Strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills.

Desirable

• Mechanical and/or electrical qualifications.
• Supervisory or mentoring experience.
• Experience within automated manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• IOSH qualification.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems.
