Forklift Trucks (Field Based)

Location: Bedford / Milton Keynes / Oxford Area

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 Basic + Excellent Overtime

We're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing materials handling business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with strong fault-finding skills, particularly on electric forklift trucks, who is looking for a role with excellent earning potential and a great work-life balance.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of forklift trucks at customer sites across the Bedford, Milton Keynes and Oxford region. The fleet is predominantly electric, so we're looking for someone with a solid electrical bias and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults confidently.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks at customer sites.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Complete breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise customer downtime.
  • Accurately complete service documentation.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience servicing and repairing forklift trucks.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good mechanical knowledge.
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Based within the Bedford, Milton Keynes or Oxford area.
