Our client is seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee a busy service department in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with a strong background in automotive aftersales who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, driving workshop performance, and developing a high-performing team.
🚘 The Role As Service Manager, you'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service department, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, maximising workshop efficiency, and delivering strong financial results.
📝 Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the service department and workshop
- Lead, coach, and develop Service Advisors, Workshop Controllers, and Technicians
- Drive workshop productivity, efficiency, and profitability
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction levels
- Monitor departmental performance and achieve key business objectives
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety policies and operational procedures
- Support continuous improvement across the aftersales department
- Previous experience as a Service Manager within the automotive industry
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a successful aftersales team
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on performance and profitability
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience managing workshop performance and departmental KPIs
- Full UK Driving Licence
