We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to join a reputable family-owned main dealership in Grays, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to lead a team and drive performance within a well-established business. Our client is seeking a Service Manager who can effectively oversee daily operations and deliver exceptional customer service standards. The ideal individual will have a proven background in managing aftersales teams and a strong focus on achieving sales targets and KPIs.

Duties:
  • Oversee and lead the service department ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Manage a team comprising four front of house staff and seven workshop technicians
  • Drive sales and meet labour hours targets of 1100 to 1200 hours per month
  • Develop staff careers through coaching and performance management
  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Monitor and achieve KPIs, ensuring departmental profitability
  • Report directly to senior management, contributing to strategic planning and operational improvements
Requirements of a Service Manager:
  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or Aftersales Manager within a main dealership environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Ability to motivate staff and improve team performance
  • Track record of consistently achieving sales targets and managing KPIs effectively
