Service & Support Administrator
Full Time | Office Based | Salary up to £30,000 DOE
We are looking for a Service & Support Administrator on behalf of an established client near Dereham. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being organised, working with customers and colleagues, and juggling multiple priorities throughout the day. This is a newly created role due to continued business growth. You’ll work closely alongside an experienced team member who will provide support, guidance and training as you settle into the position.
The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for customers and engineers, helping to ensure that customer requests are dealt with efficiently and that the service operation runs smoothly.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling customer requests and enquiries by phone, email and other channels
- Answering incoming telephone calls and providing a friendly, professional service
- Coordinating with engineers to schedule and support customer requirements
- Raising and processing customer invoices
- Ordering hardware, equipment and other stock as required
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring required items are available
- Liaising with suppliers and customers
- Maintaining accurate records and keeping systems up to date
- Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties
- Taking on some basic accounts responsibilities, including assisting with day-to-day financial administration
This is a multi-faceted role, so no two days are likely to be exactly the same. You'll need to be comfortable moving between customer service, administration, purchasing, invoicing and supporting engineers as priorities change.
About You
Previous experience in an administrative role is essential, along with excellent attention to detail and a well-organised approach to your work.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is confident and professional when dealing with customers
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Is computer proficient and comfortable using Microsoft Office software packages
- Has a positive, upbeat and can-do attitude
- Works well as part of an established team
- Is confident communicating with customers, suppliers and engineers
- Can work independently while knowing when to ask for support
- Is adaptable and enjoys a varied working environment
Accounts Experience – A Bonus
As part of the role, there could be an opportunity to take on some accounts responsibilities. Previous experience with QuickBooks would therefore be a major advantage, although this is not essential.
What We Offer
- Full-time, office-based position
- Salary up to £30,000, depending on experience
- The opportunity to join an established and supportive team
- A varied role with plenty of responsibility
- The opportunity to develop your skills across administration, customer service, purchasing and accounts
If you're an organised, enthusiastic administrator who enjoys working with people, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
