OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Health & Social Care Skills Bootcamps and Apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for successful progression into employment and career advancement within the Health & Social Care sector.
The postholder will deliver engaging learning sessions, provide individual learner support, assess learner progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to the achievement of programme performance targets, learner outcomes and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching, Learning and Delivery
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Health & Social Care learning sessions in line with programme requirements and awarding body standards.
- Deliver engaging face-to-face, online and blended learning sessions as required.
- Create inclusive learning environments that motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Differentiate teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs, abilities and learning styles.
- Develop and adapt learning resources to ensure relevance to current industry practice.
- Promote positive learner engagement, attendance, achievement and progression.
Skills Bootcamp Delivery
- Deliver Health & Social Care Skills Bootcamp programmes in accordance with curriculum plans and funding requirements.
- Support learners to develop sector-specific knowledge, employability skills and workplace behaviours.
- Monitor learner progress and implement interventions where required.
- Support learner recruitment, onboarding, induction and retention activities.
- Contribute to achievement of programme completion and progression targets.
Apprenticeship Delivery and Assessment
- Deliver knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with relevant Health & Social Care apprenticeship standards.
- Conduct progress reviews and learner assessments in line with apprenticeship requirements.
- Support apprentices in gathering evidence and maintaining portfolios.
- Prepare apprentices for Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA).
- Work collaboratively with employers to monitor apprentice progress and development.
- Maintain accurate apprenticeship documentation and compliance records.
Learner Support
- Provide academic, pastoral and careers-related guidance to learners
- Identify barriers to learning and implement appropriate support strategies.
- Refer learners to additional support services where appropriate.
- Foster learner confidence, resilience and professional behaviours.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Maintain accurate learner records, registers, assessment documentation and progress tracking systems.
- Ensure all delivery complies with funding, quality assurance and awarding organisation requirements.
- Participate in internal quality assurance activities, standardisation meetings and audits.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain current knowledge of Health & Social Care sector developments and apprenticeship reforms.
Partnership Working
- Develop positive relationships with employers, stakeholders and partner organisations.
- Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure high-quality learner experiences.
- Support employer engagement activities where required.
Accountability and Relationships with Others
Participate in the Performance Management process and professional development activities.
Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, learners, employers and external stakeholders.
Contribute positively to the wider work of Aldridge Adult Learning.
Adhere to all Aldridge Education and Aldridge Adult Learning policies and procedures.
Carry out any duties reasonably required by the Curriculum Manager or senior leadership team.
