The School of Employability at South Thames College is looking to appoint a Sessional Lecturer to teach GCSE English Language to students aged 16-19 years of age.

As our Lecturer, you will inspire and support students to achieve success in their studies, preparing them for November and June examinations. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, assessing and reviewing student progress, marking assignments and mock exams, and contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum. A commitment to high standards, excellent student outcomes and continuous improvement will be at the heart of your approach.

You will hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject area, together with a teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one. You will have excellent teaching skills in GCSE English to students aged 16-19 years of age. We are looking for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for both the subject and education. You will be able to support and motivate learners, monitor their progress effectively, and utilise innovative technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

With high personal standards and expectations, you will possess strong planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while working effectively to deadlines.
