Setting Out Engineer

TLG Infrastructure are currently recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer to work for a civil engineering contractor specialising in groundworks, RC and infrastructure packages for Tier 1 clients.

They have recently secured a project with a value over £30M, which will offer long term work for a Setting Out Engineer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Set out groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) works to approved drawings.
• Carry out accurate setting out for foundations, drainage, slabs, walls, columns, and other structural elements.
• Check levels, dimensions, and coordinates before work starts.
• Produce as-built surveys and maintain accurate site records.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Work closely with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Identify and report any drawing or site discrepancies.
• Ensure work is completed to the required quality standards and tolerances.
• Use surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and digital levels.
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is correctly calibrated.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Support the successful delivery of the groundworks and RC package by providing accurate and timely setting out.
