Sewing machinist

We are currently looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join a busy garment and textile production environment.

The successful candidate will have experience using industrial sewing machines and be confident working with different fabrics and garments. This is a hands-on role involving stitching, sewing and assembling textile products to a good standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating industrial sewing machines
• Using lockstitch and overlock machines
• Stitching and assembling garments and textile products
• Working with different fabrics and materials
• Following sewing instructions and production requirements
• Checking your work to ensure a good quality finish
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Working as part of a busy production team

• Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist
• Experience using industrial sewing machines
• Good knowledge of lockstitch and/or overlock machines
• Experience working with garments, fabrics or textiles
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Reliable and hardworking

• Full-time, long-term position.
