SHEQ Advisor South West & Thames Region (Regional Role) Up to £55,000 + Company Car / Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits
 
Regional role covering the South West (mainly the Bristol area c 3 days per week and Guildford (c.2 days per week for a fixed period) so we are looking for someone Basingstoke / Gloucestershire ideally
 
Looking for a role where you can genuinely influence safety culture rather than simply monitor compliance working for a leading engineering and infrastructure organisation  supporting the delivery of major projects across construction, utilities and the water sector.
 
As SHEQ Advisor, you'll be responsible for:

• Advising operational teams on health, safety, environmental and quality best practice.
• Supporting construction projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Conducting audits, inspections and SHEQ assurance visits.
• Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
• Monitoring compliance with CDM Regulations, ISO management systems and current HSE legislation.
• Working collaboratively with project managers, site teams and clients to improve SHEQ performance.
• Producing reports, analysing trends and using data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Supporting the maintenance of externally accredited management systems.
• Promoting a positive safety culture across multiple construction sites

This is a fantastic opportunity for a SHEQ Advisor who enjoys building relationships on site, coaching operational teams and driving continuous improvement across complex construction environments.
Working closely with project teams, managers and clients, you'll become a trusted advisor, ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards remain at the forefront of every project.
 
You'll be embedded within operational teams, providing practical SHEQ support throughout the project lifecycle, carrying out site assurance visits, supporting audits, investigating incidents and helping deliver a proactive safety culture across multiple live construction sites.

We're keen to hear from experienced SHEQ Advisors, Health & Safety Advisors or HSE professionals who have experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.

You'll ideally have:

• NEBOSH Construction or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience within construction, infrastructure or engineering environments.
• Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and integrated management systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence people at every level.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.

Experience within the water sector would be highly advantageous, although candidates from wider construction or civil engineering backgrounds are equally encouraged to apply.
