Our client, EFT Group is a well-established and growing group of businesses operating across construction, electrical and life safety. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a proactive and organised SHEQ Officer to join their Business Excellence team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to play a key role in improving health, safety, environmental and quality standards across multiple businesses and projects.
The Role
Working closely with the SHEQ Manager, you'll support a wide range of construction, fire, security and electrical projects, helping to maintain compliance, drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out site inspections, audits and safety assessments
- Supporting compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
- Producing and reviewing RAMS and risk assessments
- Managing COSHH assessments
- Investigating incidents, near misses and implementing corrective actions
- Delivering toolbox talks and SHEQ briefings
- Maintaining ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)
- Updating CHAS, SafeContractor, Constructionline, RESET and other certification portals
- Supporting PQQs and customer compliance documentation
- Maintaining SHEQ records, reports and business risk registers
- Working alongside project teams to ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, approachable and passionate about improving standards.
You'll ideally have:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience within construction, electrical, facilities management or a similar industry
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation in construction or electrical
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach with great attention to detail
- The ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business
