Shift Engineer

Our client, a leading provider of technical building maintenance services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Shift Engineer to join the team at a prestigious commercial site in King's Cross.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and associated plant.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance.
- Support mechanical and building services equipment where required as part of a multi-skilled team.
- Monitor building systems and respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
- Complete maintenance records, permits, and reports using the site's maintenance management system.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
- Liaise with subcontractors and colleagues to ensure all works are completed to a high standard.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or a similar environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with LV distribution, lighting systems, emergency lighting, UPS, generators, and general building services.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
