CBW is recruiting an experienced Shift Leader to join a prestigious multi-tenant commercial campus in Wembley. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to work within a modern, technically challenging environment, delivering first-class building maintenance across a vibrant mixed-use estate occupied by a diverse range of commercial tenants.
A valid HV Authorised Person (AP) qualification is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Hours of Work
- Continental Shift Pattern – Days & Nights (7 on, 7 off rotation)
- Lead, motivate and support the on-site shift engineering team.
- Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently using the site's CAFM system.
- Carry out hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance when required.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on plant and equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Monitor the quality of maintenance activities, documentation and housekeeping standards across the site.
- Manage spare parts and ensure critical stock levels are maintained.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and job documentation.
- Prepare, review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe systems of work.
- Support the delivery of a safe, compliant and high-performing building environment.
- Act as the site's HV Authorised Person, carrying out switching operations and ensuring compliance with all electrical safety procedures.
- Fully qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Current HV Authorised Person (AP) qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working in a critical environment such as commercial offices, banking, data centres, healthcare, or other high-profile facilities.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services.
- Experience with critical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers and power distribution.
- Previous experience leading an engineering shift team within a critical or large commercial environment.
- Excellent fault-finding, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional engineering standards.
