Shift Manager

A great opportunity has arisen to work as a Shift Manager at a busy and fast-paced food production and distribution site in Avonmouth.

Staffline are recruiting for a Shift Manager to join a high-performing operation where you will play a key role in leading teams, driving productivity, and ensuring high standards across shift.

The hours of work are any 5 days out of 7:
- 6am to 2pm

The rate of pay is:
- £17.79 per hour

Applicants must have their own transport as the site is not easily accessible by public transport.

This role operates within a chilled food production environment and requires a hands-on leadership approach, overseeing fast-paced operations where productivity, quality, and strict adherence to processes and compliance standards are essential.

Your Time at Work

As a Shift Manager your role will include:

- Managing and motivating the shift team to ensure productivity and service KPI's are met or exceeded
- Leading from the front in a fast-paced environment, supporting Team Leaders and Operatives on the floor
- Ensuring the highest possible levels of health, safety, and hygiene are maintained in line with legislative requirements
- Maintaining quality standards and ensuring the site operates to required audit standards
- Workforce planning to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the shift
- Monitoring performance and addressing any issues impacting productivity or team output
- Enforcing and adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Supporting senior management with ad-hoc duties as required

Our Perfect Worker

- Have previous experience in a similar role within a food production or warehouse environment (essential)
- Be confident managing teams in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Have strong attention to detail and be able to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently
- Be comfortable enforcing standards, processes, and performance expectations
- Have a good level of English

They will also be a proactive leader, able to engage and motivate teams, respond positively to challenges, and maintain high standards across all areas of the operation.
