The Role
As Shop Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the store, ensuring it operates efficiently while delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.
Salary: £14.05 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 6 (Monday to Saturday – not every Saturday)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of staff and volunteers.
- Driving sales and maximising store performance.
- Creating attractive merchandise displays and maintaining high shop standards.
- Managing stock, including sorting, pricing, merchandising, and stock rotation.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and resolving customer queries.
- Managing cash handling, banking, and daily financial administration.
- Organising staff and volunteer rotas to ensure effective store coverage.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures and company policies.
- Building positive relationships within the local community and supporting fundraising initiatives.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- An experienced retail professional, with supervisory or management experience, ideally with charity stores experience.
- A confident leader who can motivate and develop a successful team.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Experienced in cash handling and daily store administration.
- Passionate about delivering first-class customer service.
- Positive, proactive, and able to use their own initiative.
- Flexible and committed to maintaining high retail standards.
