Shunter Driver

Job Title – Class 1 Shunter Driver

Location – Ashby–de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire

Shift Availability – Saturday & Sunday's (Overtime available weekdays on the road).

Start between 06:00am (12 hours per day)

Contract – Long term ongoing

Driver Resource are currently seeking to recruit a Class 1 Shunter Drivers to work on an ongoing basis for our client based at Ashby de–la-Zouch, Leicestershire.

Job role will include: 

12 hours shifts shunting Curtainsided vehicles in the yard.

There is the opportunity to also work on the road weekdays if you are looking further shifts;

HGV C+E Road Duties;

Start times 04:00-07:00am

Curtainside vehicles. You will be required to strap / unstrap your load.

Mostly driving however, there will be a requirement to assist loading & unloading if required by the Clients Customers with the use of a pump truck.

HGV C+E Road Rates

PAYE Acc Holiday / Included Holiday

MON - FRI £17 / £19.05

SAT & SUN £17.50 / £19.61

The successful HGV Class 1 Driver will be required to have the following:

• 6 months minimum experience required.
• Flexible attitude to work
• HGV/LGV C License
• CPC card
• Digi card
• High vis & Safety boots
• Clean & professional appearance
• No more than 6 points on your license
• No DR or IN conviction codes
• Must have a good understanding of English and be a good communicator, paperwork involved.
