Security Officer (4 On / 4 Off Days & Nights)

£33,000 starting salary
Location: Near Oxford (20 minutes' drive)
Hours: 4 on / 4 off rotating days and nights (6:00am-6:00pm / 6:00pm-6:00am)
Duration: Permanent

Syntech Recruitment are proud to be supporting a world-renowned aerospace and defence manufacturer in their search for a Security Officer to join their professional onsite security team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Security Officer looking for a long-term career within a highly respected engineering business. You'll play a key role in protecting people, property and assets while working in a varied role combining gatehouse duties, site patrols, CCTV monitoring and emergency response.

What you'll be doing

• Controlling pedestrian and vehicle access to site
• Checking identification, issuing visitor passes and escorting visitors where required
• Carrying out regular foot and vehicle patrols across the site and perimeter
• Monitoring CCTV, alarms and other security systems
• Responding to security incidents, emergencies and alarm activations
• Conducting vehicle searches in accordance with site procedures
• Producing accurate incident reports and daily security logs
• Managing onsite traffic movement and parking
• Acting as the first point of contact for employees, contractors and visitors

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Security Officer or within a similar security role
• Valid frontline SIA Licence (essential)
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Experience using CCTV and security monitoring systems
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Calm, professional approach when responding to incidents
• Able to work both day and night shifts on a rotating 4 on / 4 off pattern
• Willingness to undergo security clearance
