Siemens NX SME – Contract

I’m currently supporting a major UK engineering and technology programme and I’m keen to speak with experienced Siemens NX Subject Matter Experts who hold active SC clearance.

This is an Outside IR35 contract and the programme is looking for someone who can operate as a genuine technical authority rather than simply working as a production CAD designer.

£525–£675 per day Outside IR35
Up to £725 per day for DV-cleared candidates
Predominantly remote
1–2 days onsite every two weeks – Preston / Warton
Initial 3–6 months with extension anticipated
Active SC clearance essential

The role will support the early Concept Model phase of a significant digital engineering programme, working alongside the wider delivery team and a dedicated Siemens Teamcenter SME.

I’m particularly interested in speaking with people who have strong experience across:

• Siemens NX design methodology and modelling strategy
• Part and assembly structure
• Large assembly management
• Parametric and synchronous modelling
• Drawing and annotation standards
• Templates, customer defaults and reuse libraries
• NX environment configuration
• NX / Teamcenter managed CAD integration
• Design reviews and technical assurance
• Knowledge transfer and capability building

The real value in this role will come from someone who has substantial hands-on NX experience but has also been responsible for setting standards rather than simply working to them.

You’ll need the credibility to challenge modelling approaches, advise on configuration decisions and help establish what good looks like for NX across the programme.

Experience with Model Based Definition / PMI, NX CAM, simulation or routing would also be useful, as would previous experience within defence, aerospace, nuclear or another highly regulated engineering environment.

Please note: active SC clearance is mandatory. Unfortunately, candidates who are eligible for clearance but do not currently hold it cannot be considered for this requirement.
