Are you an experienced Site Agent with a strong background in civil engineering – including  flood defence schemes and reinforced concrete structures? We are seeking a driven and proactive professional to join our team delivering a range of environmental improvement and flood resilience projects.   The Role As Site Agent, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of environmental and flood defence projects from inception through to completion. You will lead site operations, manage engineering and supervisory teams, and ensure works are delivered to programme, budget and quality standards.   Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
  • Monitor programme performance and resource requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance and technical compliance.
  • Manage project documentation, RAMS, permits and inspections.
  • Support cost control, procurement and commercial reporting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Drive successful project delivery whilst minimising environmental impact.
  Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Agent within civil engineering.
  • Background delivering environmental, flood defence or water-related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction.
  • Experience managing drainage, earthworks and general civils packages.
  • Good understanding of NEC contracts.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.

  • Environment Agency projects.
  • Flood alleviation schemes.
  • River and coastal defence works.
  • Water infrastructure projects.
  • Temporary works coordination.
  • Civil engineering projects valued from £1m to £50m+.
