Are you an experienced Site Agent with a strong highways or civil engineering background?
We are currently recruiting experienced Site Agents for a major civil engineering contractor delivering a range of highways and infrastructure schemes across South and Mid Wales.
The works include highways drainage, surfacing and carriageway works, alongside projects involving reinforced retaining walls, structures and associated drainage. We are looking for Site Agents who can take ownership of delivery on site and are comfortable managing both the operational and paperwork side of a project.
The Role
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and timely delivery of works, including:
·Managing site teams, subcontractors and site activities
·Planning and coordinating daily and short-term works
·Overseeing highways, drainage, surfacing and civil engineering activities
·Managing reinforced concrete and retaining wall works where required
·Ensuring works are delivered to programme, specification and budget
·Producing and maintaining site documentation, records, RAMS, ITPs and permits
·Managing quality assurance and health & safety requirements
·Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
·Liaising with clients, engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team
·Monitoring progress and resolving technical or delivery issues
·Supporting programme and lookahead planning
·Ensuring all works comply with relevant environmental and safety requirements
·Traffic management coordination and experience would be advantageous
About You
We are looking for candidates with proven experience working as a Site Agent within highways or civil engineering.
You should have:
·Strong highways experience
·Proven experience delivering drainage and surfacing works
·Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
·Good understanding of construction paperwork, QA and site records
·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
·Strong health & safety awareness
·Good communication and client-facing skills
·Experience working to programme and managing multiple work fronts
Relevant qualifications/tickets should include:
·SMSTS
·CSCS
·First Aid
·Temporary Works Supervisor desirable
·SEATS / Environmental Awareness desirable
·Streetworks / NRSWA desirable
·Traffic Management experience/tickets advantageous
A relevant HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience would also be advantageous.
