This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Agent with a strong background in nuclear, heavy civils or highly regulated infrastructure projects, looking to work on a technically challenging and high-profile scheme.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of a significant civils package, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and within agreed cost parameters.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and coordinating site operations across multiple work fronts.
- Managing the construction programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
- Monitoring progress against programme and implementing recovery measures where required.
- Managing site teams, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
- Maintaining strong cost control and monitoring productivity and resources.
- Overseeing the delivery of reinforced concrete slabs and associated concrete works.
- Managing drainage, ducting and troughing installations.
- Coordinating interfaces between civils, utilities and other project disciplines.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Reviewing and implementing RAMS, permits and quality requirements.
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team to identify and resolve construction issues.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Ensuring all works are delivered within the requirements of a highly regulated nuclear environment.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Proven experience working as a Site Agent / Senior Site Agent on major civils projects.
- Previous experience within a nuclear civils, heavy civils or highly regulated infrastructure environment.
- Strong experience managing construction programmes and site delivery.
- Demonstrable experience with RC slabs / reinforced concrete structures.
- Experience delivering drainage and troughing packages.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost control and resource management.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, RAMS, ITPs and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and deliver against challenging programme requirements.
