Our client, a key player in the water sector, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Site Agent to join their team on a contract basis in the Birmingham/Midlands region. This position is initially for two months to cover holiday leave, with the potential for extension based on performance. The role offers an immediate start and operates outside IR35.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating high-quality Construction Phase Plans (CPP), Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Budgets, Statements of Safe Behaviour (SOSB), Toolbox Talks (TBT), and Programmes
  • Briefing project teams on necessary documentation and procedures
  • Conducting regular safety audits in collaboration with Forkers SHEQ teams and the Severn Trent Water (STW) Health & Safety department
  • Planning, programming, and resourcing projects to ensure timely completion
  • Preparing and monitoring contract budgets and target programmes
  • Controlling site costs and construction activities to meet specified quality standards
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental guidelines, and best practices
  • Managing site staff, sub-contractors, and operatives efficiently
  • Liaising with the Engineer's Representative, Project Manager, or Supervisor as required
  • Optimising resource utilisation to perform duties effectively
  • Maintaining comprehensive records and ensuring proper archiving
  • Overseeing Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures
  • Managing inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover processes


Job Requirements:

  • Preferred background in Civil Engineering with HNC/HND qualifications
  • Possession of CSCS Black card (NVQ level 6) is essential
  • Completion of the 5-day SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) course is a must
  • Full 3-day First Aid course is mandatory
  • NRSWA Supervisor qualification is an advantage
  • Temporary Works Co-ordinator certification is advantageous
  • Confined Space Training is an advantage
  • Lifting Appointed Persons certification is an advantage
  • Practicable Environmental Management experience is preferred
