Site Agent

Due to continued and sustained growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Site Agent to assist in their further ambitious expansion plans. The successful candidate must have experience from the civil engineering sector, a driving licence, CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS and Temporary Works Coordinator tickets are essential. Hybrid working is available with three days of the week either on site or in the Northwest or Nottinghamshire offices.

The Role

  • Responsible for the operational delivery of complete packages of civil engineering works by managing site activities, and ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards and project timelines.
  • You will be involved with supporting bids through preconstruction, delivering works on site and managing the handover process upon project completion.
  • Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm manner
  • Work with suppliers and sub-contractors with the aim of improving performance
  • Oversee and manage multiple site and project activities
  • Be client facing on site, ensure work is delivered safely on time and to specification
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to plan and create RAMS / WPP’s
  • Supervise site engineers, subcontractors, and workforces
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with technical standards
  • Coordinate with design teams, clients, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues
  • Monitor progress and produce accurate reports for project management
  • Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Support the senior team in managing budgets, resources, and procurement
  • Conduct site surveys, audit setting out, and checking / approving works
  • Maintain accurate site records including diaries, as-built drawings and QA
  • Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard
  • Conduct yourself in a way that reflect and promotes the company values
  • Understand and act in accordance with company policies and procedures

The Person

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a relevant field (civil engineering)
  • Experience of working with Tier 1 contractors (either as employee or sub-contractor)
  • Ability to lead site teams, delegate tasks, and motivate staff.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, plant, and labour within a section of works
  • Quick thinking and analytical skills to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
  • Clear verbal and written communication with stakeholders, clients, and teams
  • Ability to design, check, and implement temporary structures safely.
  • Prioritising tasks and managing deadlines under pressure.
  • Precision in setting out, documentation, and quality control.
  • CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, full UK driving licence
