We’re recruiting a Site Agent for a large multi-disciplined contractor in the South East. Following several project awards starting later this year, and in early 2027 it’s a great time to cement yourself in a business which has a secure workload and ambitious growth plans in the region. The business has a regional office in Kent and continues to win work at the Port of Dover specialising in marine and heavy civils work, as well as other projects in the county for local authorities and private developers/clients – these projects range from £4m - £30m.
The Site Agent will join the start of a new project at the work at Port of Dover, comprising of a demolition, groundworks, drainage and externals. Following this, they will be involved in a large scale marine project with large concrete structures, piling and associated civils work running well into 2028.
Experience of working in the marine sector is favourable (not essential) and we expect an Agent to have demonstrated a clear route of progression through Site Engineer > Sub Agent roles. If you are an experienced Sub Agent or Senior Site Agent, please apply.
Site Agent Duties:
- Writing risk assessments and method statements
- Supporting the engineering team with long-term and short programmes
- Working with the commercial team to manage change and EWN (NEC Contract)
- Overall responsibility of health and safety
- Managing design and quality of the project
- Ensuring the project meets deadlines by managing the programme
