We are working with a long-established and highly regarded civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Site Agent for their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex civil engineering, infrastructure, and marine projects across Scotland. You'll take ownership of projects from site mobilisation through to completion, leading site teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
As the Site Agent your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Managing the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland.
* Leading site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, on programme, and within budget.
* Coordinating engineering, commercial, and operational teams to achieve project objectives.
* Monitoring programme performance, quality, and resource allocation while proactively resolving site issues.
* Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management procedures.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, local authorities, consultants, and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* Previous experience working as a Site Agent, Sub Agent, or Senior Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
* A strong understanding of NEC contracts and the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary construction projects.
* Excellent leadership, planning, and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
* The ability to communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and subcontractors while driving project performance.
* A relevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree) together with SMSTS and CSCS certification. Temporary Works and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.
