Location: Scottish Borders (remote infrastructure project)
Duration: 8–10 weeks
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent or Senior Engineer to join a contractor delivering a significant track improvement and maintenance project on a large-scale renewable energy infrastructure site in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is comfortable taking ownership of a challenging programme of works and overseeing both direct labour and specialist subcontractors on site.
The Role
The project involves the refurbishment and upgrading of an extensive access track network, including:
- Lime stabilisation works
- Surface treatment works (tar and chip)
- Track maintenance and improvement activities
- Management and coordination of specialist subcontractors
- Monitoring quality, safety and programme performance
- Setting out and verification of chainages using GPS equipment
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with contract requirements and site standards
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Agent, Senior Engineer or similar position within civil engineering
- Strong engineering background with the ability to undertake site checks and verification using GPS equipment
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work activities
- Knowledge of earthworks, highways, access roads or infrastructure maintenance projects
- Strong understanding of health, safety and quality requirements
- Ability to work independently on a remote project and take ownership of site operations
