Site Agent – Infrastructure / Earthworks

Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
Salary: Competitive + Package

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a major infrastructure scheme in Didcot, working for a well-established main contractor.

This is a key site-based role with a particular focus on earthworks and civil engineering, overseeing the day-to-day delivery of works and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and resources.

The Role

• Take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of earthworks and associated civil engineering activities.
• Manage site operations, ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and required quality standards.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, materials and resources.
• Monitor progress and productivity, identifying and addressing any issues that could impact the programme.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Review RAMS, permits, inspection records and other project documentation.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates.
• Assist with planning, sequencing and short-term programming of works.

About You

• Previous experience as a Site Agent / Sub Agent on civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience within earthworks is essential.
• Good understanding of site operations, construction methodology and sequencing.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• CSCS, SMSTS and relevant site qualifications.
